Construction Technician

Full Time Position

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Construction Technician conducts a variety of work on customer service, construction, maintenance and propane at Greater Dickson Gas Authority.  It involves work on a broad range of different activities in the Operations department, such as:  service lines, main lines, industrial meter stations, district regulatory stations, leak repairs and etc. that will maintain the proper operation and safety of the natural gas system as required by the Department of Transportation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
The General Laborer must initially have an attitude to learn about the natural and propane gas industry. The General Laborer must be capable of meshing with their peers in the work place and work together when required. The General Laborer must be capable of communicating his/her thoughts in a proper manner and display a congenial attitude in accepting assignments. The General Laborer must work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures. The General Laborer must work efficiently with little supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age. 
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
Required to obtain Class A CDL in a timely manner.
The ability to use a computer keyboard effectively.
The ability to orally communicate by phone or person to person.
The ability to see/read money and/or printed material.
The ability to make decisions under pressure.
Ambulatory.

Accounting Clerk

Full Time Position

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Accounting Clerk will prepare and assist the administration of accounting policies, practices, procedures, and accounting records. Under general supervision, the Accounting Clerk will also complete required tax forms, process payroll, and generate regular reports for management. Reports to the Assistant Director of Finance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
The Accounting Clerk in this position must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and abilities:

Possess an attitude to learn about the natural and propane gas industry.
Display a congenial attitude in accepting assignments.
Possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Able to identify solutions to nonstandard requests, good judgment and decision-making ability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three plus years of experience, demonstrated in Bookkeeping/Payroll/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, twist, lift.
Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

Customer Service Representative I

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Service Representative conducts a variety of work to maintain GDGA’s customer base.  The Customer Service Representative performs work on a broad range of activities in the Customer Accounts Department such as: greeting the customer; accepting various methods of payments; answers questions in person and by phone; maintaining privacy of customer information and maintain records as required by GDGA policy’s/procedures manual as well as the rules/regulations manual and working in other related areas as requested.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
