Full Time Position
The Customer Service Representative conducts a variety of work to maintain GDGA’s customer base. The Customer Service Representative performs work on a broad range of activities in the Customer Accounts Department such as: greeting the customer; accepting various methods of payments; answers questions in person and by phone; maintaining privacy of customer information and maintain records as required by GDGA policy’s/procedures manual as well as the rules/regulations manual and working in other related areas as requested.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
The Customer Service Representative must initially have an attitude to learn about the natural and propane gas industry. The Customer Service Representative must be capable of meshing with their peers in the work place and work together when required. The Customer Service Representative must be capable of communicating his/her thoughts in a proper manner and display a congenial attitude in accepting assignments. The Customer Service Representative must work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures. The Customer Service Representative must work efficiently with little supervision.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License
Technology aptitude (computer/tablet/iPad/smartphone, etc.)
Knowledgeable in the following computer programs: Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel
Must have recent cash handling experience
Must be able to communicate orally by phone, written or person to person
Must be able to read and understand printed material
Must be able to sit; stand; bend; walk; twist; lift
