Up until that time, when it was not feasible to serve a customer with natural gas their option was another propane company or electricity which did not permit Greater Dickson Gas Authority to provide the potential customer any of  our other services.  By the establishment of our Propane Division we were able to provide customers with propane until such time it becomes feasible to serve them with natural gas.  We feel this move into propane has been very successful by permitting the Authority to provide service to more customers.  As of January 2009 we serve 2,600 customers within a 25-30 mile radius of  Dickson which includes portions of these seven (7) counties (Dickson, Montgomery, Houston, Humphreys, Hickman, Williamson and Cheatham).
